Adelle Hickey is a designer and printmaker. Her research work in Design History and Material Culture has inspired this hand-made and hand printed collection of cards, Irish linen, notebooks and prints.
The inspiration for the series embraces centuries of Irish visual culture – Archaeology, mythology, needlework, Celtic symbols, wildlife and flowers. The Heart symbol is incorporated into designs throughout the collection. Passionate about printing and making, these hand-made and hand printed pieces are woven together to create a visual expression of all that is authentically Irish. This collection of individually hand printed cards, Irish linen, notebooks and signed prints, are beautiful treasured gifts for life.
The materials used are made in Ireland or supplied by Irish companies. The products are made in the most sustainable way with zero waste, using recycled materials.
